Careers/Internship
Current Openings
At the moment, Zenwood does not have any openings for full-time roles or paid internships.
We’re a small studio with limited bandwidth, and we prefer to keep our core team focused on development, publishing, and ongoing projects.
Guided Apprenticeship for B.Des Students
While we cannot offer paid positions, we do offer a learning pathway for design students who need mentorship or project guidance as part of their academic requirements.
This is not a traditional internship. Think of it as an apprenticeship:
- You work on your own design project.
- We guide you periodically.
- You learn the craft from real workflows, real constraints, and honest feedback.
What This Apprenticeship Includes ✨
- Guidance on game design fundamentals
- Review sessions at key milestones
- Feedback on prototypes, rules, and implementation
- Exposure to publishing realities
- Access to our thought process and problem-solving approach
- Official Certificate of Completion from Zenwood Games
- Letter of Recommendation
What It Does Not Include 😥
- No remuneration
- No work-from-office option
- No project assignments or work from our side.
(You are working on your project, not ours)
Who This Is For
Students who:
- Want a mentor rather than a manager
- Are self-driven and comfortable working independently
- Are using game design as a part of their B.Des or academic curriculum
- Value craft, iteration, and execution over flashy ideas
If the project aligns with the level of effort we can commit, we’ll onboard you for the mentorship cycle.
